Why is it regardless, a Man will ask you if you know where something is?
Even if he already knows, if he has already looked in the spot where it is, if he knows where it should be, or even if it is staring him in the face he will still ask this question.
Is it something in the genetic make-up of him or is this something he is taught by his father? Does he do it to see if you will actually stop what you are doing to come and help him? Is this how he judges whether or not you are truly there for him?
And while I am at it why does he call out to you and then not respond when you say, What? He actually sits there and waits for you to come to him to find out what he needs when he could have just said it at a higher tone. Does he need that face to face contact in order to speak? He sure as hell didn't when he called my name. And if you don't go to find out what he wants, does he just give up or does that thought just go away? Maybe I have I proved myself unworthy?
Is it just me or could somebody please shed some light on this for me?

Are you inside my head??
They all do all of those things and when we find out why, we will be rich women......and we'll hire a driver for the Keeper so she can relax while traveling from point A to point B!!
They are all the same !!
And why is it that they take something out and never put it away? Or god forbid put their dish in the dishwasher. O geez I could go on for hours !!

Its a defective gene called the dumbass gene.
Ditto what you all said........
They are all the same!
My biggest peeve is that mine cannot put a new roll of toilet paper on the holder. He just leaves the cardboard thing there and sits the new roll on the counter.
Once, I tested him on how long it would take before he put the new roll on. There was the empty one on the holder and three empty ones on the counter before I caved and did it. And, yes, the trash can is right there beside the throne!!
And the shirt that he wants to wear is ALWAYS hanging in the closet right in front of his face but he cannot seem to find it!!
Because once they leave mommy, they dont know how to fend for themselves. We are stuck with them.
Mine will open the door, and because its not hitting him in the face as he stares, that means its not there. Men dont like to move an object to get to another object.

Amen, ya'll. Why can't we be lazy sloppy pigs? Then none of that would even bother us. Our lives would be stress free!
OMG I did the same thing as Lori - it was like a stalemate. We had empty toilet paper tubes lined up along the wall in the potty room! Guess who caved first? Yep. Me.
Oh, the mysteries of men. Can't live with 'em, can't shoot 'em.
I have the same problem, and I live alone.
God help me, I can't get along with myself.
And here I thought I was just finding the ones with special needs.
The toilet paper issue is a big one here. He has his own bathroom that I try my hardest to avoid these days but when you gotta go, anyway there is always an empty roll on the holder and the full roll somewhere within reach. Really the time he spends in there would it be that hard to change this out?Nevermind, I know that answer.
I can't really shed any light on it, but I have to admit that I have been known to do this. I'm not sure why.
And my dad definitely does it. All the time.
But as a side note, if it makes you feel better, as far as all these other rants go in the comments, my wife hits them on all cylinders, and I'm on the ladies' side.
Maybe that's why I'm the stay-at-home parent? It's a mystery. A mystery that is suddenly making me slightly uncomfortable...
Do not allow yourself to feel unworthy, especially when it comes to another person. If you believe and accept that you are unworthy, you will have become defragmented, meaning you are operating under the will of another person. You will soon lose your identity and become identified to that other person. You will lose yourself and your true identity.
Do not allow anybody to make you feel unworthy. You are more than worthy.
