Vintage Thingies Thursday

Man if these things weren't the best!! I am just wondering who came up with these. PARENTS: If you cannot afford or are tired of buying the real thing look no further, we have the answer,

PAPER DOLLS!!!!

This is my all time favorite outfit. Whenever we played I had to have it and would NOT share. I can be selfish that way.

These are especially for Sista #1 @ Holy Crappers - The Partridge Family!!! These are the only three I could find tho.

I was going to try to set them all out but there are all the dolls and well over 100 outfits. And dressing them, out of the question. Hey, remember I do as little work as possible:) Anyway, nowadays I would rather look at a set of abs like Kens than pick out clothing for him. Hehe!

Click if you would like to participate in Vintage Thingies Thursday hosted by the Apron Queen.

I had a great collection of paper dolls a very long time ago. I use to keep them in the HUGE Sear's catalogs so they'd stay pressed. The Partridge family one's were awesome. So, very neat. You brought back wonderful memories for me.

Ohhhh! My sisters and I had all of paper dolls that I see on your table......and then some! I'm not sure what ever happened to them. I'll have to ask around!

BTW - could I come over and play sometime? You have all of the cool toys.

Sadly my paper dolls bit the dust long ago. Little brothers think its funny to tear things up!

I would totally decoupage that favorite outfit onto something to keep it forever.

Love these. My girls play with paper dolls we get off the internet sometimes. Simple joys endure.

I love these - I remember playing paper dolls when I was a kid. Usually we'd get them out on road trips. Thanks for sharing!

I just love your paper dolls. It is amazing that you have so many of the outfits and the dolls themselves. You really do not see them that much anymore. Great post today.

I absolutely adored my paper dolls! I had Barbie, Holly Hobby, The Gingham Girls, and more! I used to play with them for hours. No telling what happened to them all.

BHE: you're always welcome

Philly: Didn't everyone want to date Keith? Although I would have chose Shaun over him any day.

Bubbas Sis: I will have to look through the other two collections to see if I can find my Gingham Girls.

My sister & I would play for hours in the car on long rides with paper dolls. Now, my girls listen to Ipods & play Gameboy. ???

I LOVED the Partridge Fam. Hated Danny though and can't believe how he keeps resurfacing on new shows.

I totally loved paperdolls!! In my day, there were paperdolls of all the movie stars: like Elizabeth Taylor, Doris Day, Debbie Reynolds. I had a huge box of them and played with them for hours. My mom was not one of those moms who keeps things for their sentimental valaue, so they were thrown away. But, they gave me lots of pleasure on those hot afternoons when you had to stay inside or you'd get polio - and rainy days too. I wish I had them all back.
