Vintage Thingies Thursday

It is once again time for Vintage Thingies Thursday hosted by the Apron Queen.

This picture is of me I believe on my first birthday. I received this lovable, fluffy white teddy bear.
(I had to take a picture of the picture because it started to rip when I tried to take it out)

This bear will be 39yrs. old this year. He is not near as fluffy, he may be missing most of his tongue and fur, and he may be a little misshaped but I still love him. His ears have bells in them and they still jingle. This is one thing I own that I just may tackle my own kids if I found them with it. They pretty much know he is off limits to them.

I have never named him even though he has been a big part of my life.

I love your bear! It's really neat that you kept it in good condition for so long. What a keepsake it will be. I have a bear, too, and now I want to go find it and blog about it!

I have the teddy bear that my great-grandmother gave to my dad for his first birthday. That bear is 65 years old this year, and has never been named :(

He is darling. I never named my dolls. Come to think of it, I didn't really enjoy naming my kids either...

How precious is that bear?
I love how the fur on his chest is worn off. From hugging and cuddling no doubt!

I wouldn't share him either.

I have a stuffed turtle from my 1st christmas. It's in need of repair! I should fix it so I can pass it to my kids.

I love this bear! You were brilliant to save it : ). Or your mother was brilliant! Either way, great memories!

The best vintage thingies are the ones with those kinds of memories attached - I love it!

My first bear was about 30 years old when my grandmother decided to clean her house and toss him in the trash. He would have been 45 this Xmas. At least I have some pictures of him. I'm happy you still have your bear. :)
